Ichthylana

Original Kaiju #3!  Coloring job is a little sloppy this time, I apologize for that. 

How do you induce nightmares?  Take a long, slimy, worm-like, sharp-toothed caecilian, vastly increase it in size, and give it a bunch of venomous spines! 

Ichthylana, like the rest of Earth's kaiju, was the victim of mankind's destructive mistakes.  Oddly, many amphibians can not tolerate high doses of radioactivity, perhaps due to their fragile skin and intolerance to pollution.  Ichthylana was apparently an exception to this.  Her once rudimentary eyes have now completely disappeared, with only her sensory tentacles, nostrils, and sensitive skin to guide her now.  She tries to avoid human contact the best she can, but she can be a deadly foe if messed with.

Her jaws and teeth are incredibly powerful, able to take hunks out of tough skinned monsters and even mechs.  Her skin is brightly colored, and highly toxic, preventing most monsters from biting down on her.  If that's not enough, the spines covering her body are also highly venomous.  These spines offer her both offense and defense, and they can be flattened down against her body when burrowing or otherwise.  They can also cause serious damage if she erects them while constricting an opponent. Although she is somewhat slow above ground, she is a very fast tunneler and swimmer. 

Her biggest weakness is her thin, fragile skin.  Blades, claws, and fire can cause serious damage to her.  As mentioned before, she is also somewhat slow above ground, meaning fast opponents can leave her in the dust.  Finally, she has no form of ranged weapon.

By Godzilla Standards, she'd be considered an Earth Defender
