2014 has been a great year for Paleontology so far, for animals of all kinds: Non-Avian Dinosaurs, Avian Dinosaurs, Ichthyosaurs, Snakes, Etc. But here we have a list of all the Pterosaurs named this year:
Aerodactylus scolopaciceps - Not so much a new discovery, in fact it was named in 1860 as Pterodactylus scolopaciceps, but it was only recently that it named a seperate genus, due to several differences from Pterodactylus, including tooth count. One with the name of a pokemon no less.
Boreopterus giganticus - A large species of Boreopterus discovered in China, which seems distinct enough to be considered seperate from Zhenyuanopterus longirostris.
Caiuajara dobruskii - A tapejarid discovered in Brazil, known from hundreds of bones belonging to at least 47 individuals of different growth stages in the same area, suggesting a congregation.
Hamipterus tianshanensis - a pteranodontoid discovered in China that also displayed congregation in large groups. There was clear sexual dimorphism present, with males having larger, more rounded crests than females. Soft-shelled eggs were beautifully preserved. Sediments in the area suggest that the colony died in a large storm.
Ikrandraco avatar - A pteranodontoid discovered in China with a rounded crest located only on the lower jaw, named after the Banshee from the movie "Avatar", which was known by the Na'vi people as "Ikran".
Kryptodrakon progenitor - yet another Chinese pterodactyloid, the basal-most, oldest one yet discovered.
Maaradactylus kellneri - an Anhanguerid discovered in Brazil, with a fairly large skull and slightly upturned snout.
And there you have it. All the newly described pterosaurs so far of 2014. Just more pterosaurs for me to illustrate for my book.

Requiem for Art
To all my watchers and friends I've made here, please take some time to read this:
I've been on DeviantArt for a long time, and I've found it to be such a fantastic place over the years; discovering all sorts of wonderful art and meeting all sorts of amazing, talented, and interesting people. Fellow enthusiasts that I could share my passion with. But I can't help but feel....burnt out from it.
I joined DA back in 2013, I believe? But even before I joined I constantly stayed updated with some of my favorite artists. I didn't even think to make my own profile and follow and interact with these people; many of which were Paleoenthusiasts/P
Lend me your Ears: Apologies and Requests!
So....I've been in an artistic slump. You guys have probably noticed that. This is probably the least active I've been on this site thus far. I've been very unmotivated to draw and I hate that.
SO, for the bazillionth time, I'm sorry for being so inactive. I guess lately I've been concentrating too much on various things; like my computer, and work. It's not great excuse but I've been addicted to playing The Isle for the past few weeks and can't stop! Actually, I can give it credit where credit is due; it's somewhat reinvigorated my want to draw Paleoart. I've also opted to play the Role playing game Pathfinder with my friends (they c
A Wee Update Folks
Hey guys, just wanted to throw out an update on things for you all. First I'd like to apologize for my lack of artwork lately. I've kinda being going through Artist's Block for the past...oh who knows....a few weeks now I guess. There's just so many things I'd like to work on, but I just can't think of how to proceed. It's been really bugging me! I know I've also been lacking in a couple of departments too, like Paleoart, and especially that Snaiad Group I've created. I've also been practicing a little bit here and there on cartoon styles, because that's something I REALLY want to improve on too. I am just NOT GOOD at sticking to a reg
NEW GROUP: SNAIAD FOREVER
Hey everyone! I guess I've been on a big Snaiad kick these past 30 or so hours, 'cuz today I'd like to announce a new group I've created:
SNAIAD FOREVER! A tribute group for Snaiad; created by the ever-amazing
